Christopher S. Jones is Program Manager for Special Aerospace Services (SAS), LLC. in Boulder, Colorado. He facilitates the client interface, the SAS client team and coordinates client contracts and budgets. He has continued to expand SAS’ work and presence with clients, while performing his engineering role with multiple clients.
Previously Chris was Senior Systems Engineer and System Safety Engineer supporting multiple clients including Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) and United Launch Alliance (ULA) as Senior Systems Engineer, as well as Human Certification Lead for the Interim Cryogenic Propulsion Stage (ICPS).
Chris has over 15 years of experience working in aerospace, all of which has been supporting various NASA programs, including Space Shuttle, ISS payloads, Constellation Program, and Space Launch System (SLS) Program. Chris specializes in human spaceflight and human certification, requirements management, hazard analysis, failure modes & effects analysis (FMEA) and quality assurance.
Mr. Jones attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
