SAS began with the dream of developing and providing innovative solutions to the space industry. Today, we are proud of our legacy with the Space Shuttle, Commercial Crew Programs, and numerous other space exploration endeavors.
We provide lifecycle support to our clients in the space industry. As a Strategic Services provider, SAS offers guidance and support to prime contractors helping them understand what the government needs and how to write the proposal. Once the contract has been awarded, our Tactical Engineering team engages in program development activities ranging from specialty engineering and spaceflight safety to hardware prototyping and system engineering.
As the program moves into the recurring production phase, we can create components and parts at our Manufacturing facility. We can also assist with procurement of parts from other parties, assure their quality and oversee assembly in preparation for launch.

We have assembled small teams of experienced and dedicated visionaries, systems engineers, scientists, and space operations specialists who provide time-critical solutions to a multitude of space-related projects. These teams have extensive experience in serving both the classified and unclassified sectors with engineering, scientific and advanced technology solutions that help ensure project success in the private and public realms.
Our expertise spans the spectrum from Spaceflight Safety™ to Systems Development with a sweet spot in Launch Vehicle development, including integration of propulsion systems and avionics. We have a long history of supporting diverse launch site activities, such as integration, range safety and general operations. Our team has spent years of development effort improving upon today’s most active propulsion systems.
SAS has worked on every major U.S. and international launch system, gathering expertise in the technical and programmatic risks of complex systems. We bring that experience to bear in launch vehicle development, spacecraft integration, and mission assurance to assist in cradle-to-grave conceptual design activities, as well as mission risk assessment.
Our program experience with NASA, the U.S. Air Force and industry partners includes the Orbital Space Plane, EELV, CCDev1/2, ORS, and Constellation. SAS team members have supported launch development, activation, safety, and operations at all U.S. launch sites – ETR, WTR, Kodiak, Kwajalein, and Wallops.
