Huntsville, AL (August 15, 2016) - Special Aerospace Services is establishing a permanent Huntsville presence in hopes of doing more business with NASA, the U.S. Army and area employers.
Many of the Boulder, Colorado company's current clients are located near its Old Madison Pike office near Cummings Research Park and Redstone Arsenal. CEO Heather Bulk says its longtime relationship with existing Huntsville employers makes the Rocket City an ideal location for the company.
"This is the Mecca for providing services in line with exactly what we do," Bulk says.
Special Aerospace Services provides engineering, safety and propulsion research expertise to its space and defense customers. The company is currently working on projects including NASA's Space Launch System (SLS).
Bulk hopes establishing a permanent location in Huntsville will help the company win local contracts.
"We're starting out with a small presence with plans to expand fairly quickly over the next three years," Bulk says.
Special Aerospace Services currently has operations in nine U.S. locations including Huntsville.
SAS executives and employees join Huntsville business and government leaders to celebrate the company's new location.
